D365 Data Migration Lead

In this role you lead the data migration for Dynamics 365, ensuring clean, governed data to support a data-first transformation. You work with cross-functional teams across clients and HSO delivery teams to plan, execute, and verify migrations, including governance and MDM guidance. You’ll architect robust ETL solutions, oversee cutovers, and enable analytics-ready data for AI and BI initiatives. This is a senior, client-facing role with impact on data quality and business continuity.

• Own the full data migration lifecycle for Dynamics 365 F&O (and CE where relevant), including planning, execution, cutover and post-migration verification
• Lead data discovery, profiling, mapping, cleansing, transformation, and validation with functional/technical teams
• Coordinate with client, HSO delivery teams, and ISVs, communicating progress, risks and decisions
• Define migration scope, approach, timelines, resourcing and risk controls aligned with governance and commercial considerations
• Establish and enforce Data Governance standards (lineage, controls, security, retention) for migration assets and guide MDM setup
• Lead data engineering teams to design and implement ETL processes and quality checks; manage cutovers and reconciliation
• Author migration scripts and queries in T-SQL; use Python to automate repeatable tasks and validations
• Utilize Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms; enable legacy data migration for analytics like AI/BI
• Support pre-sales and envisioning activities

• Deep hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations data migration
• Expertise in T-SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, reconciliation)
• Understanding of data migration principles (profiling, mapping, cleansing, validation, cutover)
• Experience managing data teams across Migration, Analytics, Integration streams
• Ability to handle commercially sensitive information and decisions
• Bachelor in Computer Science (or related field)
• Nice to have: Exposure Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Knowledge of MDM, Data Governance frameworks, Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based data platforms, Python scripting
